Bonjour from chambre 311!
Work I do with other brands
Tamera Mellon sent me these red power pumps, and in my opinion, nothing goes with red quite like red.
And on the topic of empowerment, Tamara co-founded the house of Jimmy Choo and has taken the mastery of what she’s learned to really hone in a staple silhouette within her own brand. Now all I want to wear are skinny heels with monochromatic tights. Wouldn’t life feel so much better if we could all dress as if we were in an editorial? But to take it a notch above, how much better if we can take the feeling of a good shoe and wear it in our daily lives? I think wearing a heel to work (you can tell that I’ve strangely romanticized corporate life after working for myself for so long) suddenly reminded me how I should feel when I’m in work mode.
Around summer of last year, Alexis from Local Eclectic hit me up at the possibilities of working together. It only took an hour phone call of convincing her with some ideas I had, but a month later she arrange one of my favorite jewelry designers to come to my house with an open mind. Why I love A Peace Treaty so much is her belief in artisanship and the beauty of craft, and why I love Local Eclectic so much is her belief in collaboration which in the end, brought us all together
Now about the collection. It’s a choker, earring set, and a ring. All made with opal – one of my favorite crystals with its iridescent spectrum of light. It’s also a reminder that the type and amount of energy you put into the world around you comes back to meet you. I hope you love the collection as much as we do! Shop away as there are only 30 pieces each 🙂
Sometime in December, I shot with Nylon Japan for a little photo in their LA style section. I have yet to nab my own issue, but for now, I’ll screenshot your Snapchats. Wearing my most favorite jeans I’ve had since college. And some Adidas sweater.
Thank you to Billy at the 501 Huntington Beach store for convincing me to buy these 8 years ago. I think about that gem of a store every day and wish it was still open.
