The things I’m feeling from my camera roll down to a visual moving board.
Happy New Year!
Around summer of last year, Alexis from Local Eclectic hit me up at the possibilities of working together. It only took an hour phone call of convincing her with some ideas I had, but a month later she arrange one of my favorite jewelry designers to come to my house with an open mind. Why I love A Peace Treaty so much is her belief in artisanship and the beauty of craft, and why I love Local Eclectic so much is her belief in collaboration which in the end, brought us all together
Now about the collection. It’s a choker, earring set, and a ring. All made with opal – one of my favorite crystals with its iridescent spectrum of light. It’s also a reminder that the type and amount of energy you put into the world around you comes back to meet you. I hope you love the collection as much as we do! Shop away as there are only 30 pieces each 🙂
It’s been a strange year. I felt in a rut 50% of it and no amount of new travels, lush dinners, cuddle seshs, or alone time could get me out of it. But I think ultimately it came down to needing a break. I have been hustling for over 10 years – nonstop. And I couldn’t get myself to think anymore. Everything was in a fog. In fact, every time I reminisce on a good memory from 2016, I realize that it’s actually a memory from 2015.
Anyway, time apart from the web and reconnecting with myself, friends, family, and the world we live in has given me the energy I need to get back into the world to create again. Also my documented travels still remain unshared and I’m excited to relive these moments again – hopefully now with a more optimistic mindset. So that when I do look back on good memories, I can recall them from 2016.
Thank you Spotify for getting to it before I did by cementing my airwaves into a playlist. Last year I curated my own, but damn this was a great job. Obviously some repeats from 2015.
PS, I highly suggest investing in one beautiful lingerie set this year to put on for the days you need a can-do attitude.
Enjoying the last bit of sunshine and random 90 weather outburst before heading to NYFW. I HATE NYFW IN THE WINTER, BUT I’M DOING IT BECAUSE MY BEST FRIENDS AND I GOT A PENTHOUSE IN TIME SQUARE. I’m not being paid (nor was I asked) to blog about this, but I wrote about my last trip to February NYFW on Simon.com. It’s pretty amusing and took me half a day to write. You need to read it so I feel better about spending the time to write it since all they wanted was a wish list of things I like. My story is better.
Paying homage to my daily outfit. I guess I’m excited to experiment with kooky outfits outside of my Levi’s + sneakers + blank top uniform.
