I do from time to time ๐Ÿ™‚ it's still very precious to me so I don't wear it that often but I won't ever get rid of it. Congrats on the purchase! I hope it was an amazing deal.

How do you stay so "relevant" while keeping your uniqueness and creativity? I find that a lot of big-name influencers are actually all the same. They each have their own personal touch on the same product. You're different, in the best way possible! I don't know exactly what I'm trying to ask, but hopefully you understand!

Look away from a formula and what others are doing and follow the instinct that you're attracted to. It's hard though, I often need to disconnect because we can be 'too' inspired by the our apps. I need time away to process what I like and don't like in my daily living as I purge and think ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

I'm gonna say it again, The Real Real lol. You just need to dig and it makes it easier to navigate when you finesse the filters to what you want and your size, etc.

Yes, but I like to learn a little bit of everything so I can at least navigate conversations. It helped me figure out what I wanted to do with my site and how to communicate what I wanted with my developer! x

That they're not worth my time if they're the type of people to jump to conclusions and would rather fill in what they don't know with negative thoughts. Don't need to waste energy on them folks. I hope they find peace in their life tho โœŒ๐Ÿป

Always thriving. It's springgggg. Do lots of research, and Google is your friend. Sorry, not helpful haha I kinda winged the trip on my own. Also, be prepared to rent a bike and have someone who can ride one on the trip. It made my trip so much more fun having Wes navigate us.

Hi Rachel! Just want to say I love you work so much. When I watch your videos, it's like you've created a world of your own. Just wanted to ask how did you find your passion and how did you decide on it? Was there a specific career you wanted to achieve? I know this is a broad/difficult question, I'm just at the stage of figuring out my life. Also, what advice would you give your 21 year old self?! BTW you do not look Viet at all hahaha (I initially thought you were half white)

Hahaha I am very much in my own world at times. I think I see so much (online and being pitched to all the time) that I very easily get tired of things and naturally like new things that not as many people like. I'm just passionate about creating .... i think it translate to everything else. Sorry if that was a broad answer, it's far too much to really type out into something tangible!

IDK, I've met a lot of people through IG and blogging, but I've also been doing this for so long that it's hard to have that fresh perspective on what it was like before. Honestly, going to events helps a lot. But I agree, find friends with the same vibe on IG! Follow each other, meet up, talk about things. Everyone is craving openness the same as you are but everyone is too afraid to be the first one to do it - be the first one to approach.

We are planning on moving out of our current city in about a year but right now we can't decide if we should pay a little extra for a nicer apartment or just move into an okay place and save up? What would you do?

Admin Reply by: Rachel
I can't say I would have the smarter decision for this, I'd move somewhere nicer (but I also work from home and it's v important to me to splurge on something that feels comfortable for me and to work from). I also find that it'll inspire and push me more to work harder to deserve what I decided to splurge on.

I feel as though a lot of influencers don't have much sensitivity to conscious efforts and footprint, so... it's not my battle haha. But yeah, you're right, it's really hard to get away from it. I think it's really important to be okay knowing you won't be a perfect conscious consumer, but you can be a smart one. Often times we feel like if we're going to label our choices, we have to follow-through perfectly, and I don't see that as fair. We can make incremental decisions that turn into habits rather than giving up on an idea that seems too hard to manage.

It's unfortunate that these things keep happening. But also knowing that these teams are huge and ginormous - I have a great relationship with the PR team in NY... that's like 5 people out of probably 100+ in just PR. I always leave room for error with these companies because sometimes it is the mistake of just one person. Not an excuse, but I've made mistakes too in huge corporate settings, and it's hard to finesse each decision. I do know they are constantly hiring extra talent to oversee mistakes and hopefully prevent more like these.

I've seen some pretty rad things on Wix. What I did with my site was make a wireframe of how I wanted the site to feel and navigate (without any design implemented, purely a blueprint) and worked around that. I worked with a developer because I didn't have the time to figure it all out on my own, but I used to code my own sites! It really helps to design it out first and then put it together and knowing what freedom you need and where. I hope that helps? x

Hi sweetie, aw you're so sweet. Thank you and thanks for asking this question that I think it's a difficult road to navigate on our own. The best thing for security in a relationship is actually the person you're in a relationship giving it to you. You should be confident and your own person beforehand, but if your partner isn't making you feel secure and open, of course it'll leave room to second guess yourself. Often in relationships, my best advice is to be 100% open with the person and leave no rooms for secrets. If you are open, it usually fosters room and the expectancy for the other to be open as well. I hope that helps ๐ŸŒ
