Hey darling - I have a few questions for you. First, will you be doing #30daysofthatschic this summer? Your summer vlogs are some of my favorites, I actually replay them more than would be considered normal I think. The second is advice. I fall into the habit of being self-conscious sometimes, and it envelopes me. I start applying it to all avenues of life - love, career, friendship, etc. Does this ever happen to you? How do you stay on top of your self-confidence? Thanks for being a constant inspiration to me -- Love always. xx

I ran a Twitter poll based off this question, and the results skewed that way. So yeah, probably. Oh no, that's never a good feeling. Of course it happens to me; I think everyone feels a sense of self-doubt every once in a while. Everytime I'm in that rut, I sort of remind myself that I'm my own human and there's no one else like me. We are all our own individual and I disconnect and rediscover what makes me happy πŸ’ƒπŸ»πŸ’ƒπŸ»

I would try to steer away from things that are curated (clothing stores, websites, etc) and go to a thrift store and pull things that catch your eyes, then curate those pieces from there. But you know, it's hard. I'm still exploring what I like and it forever changes. I don't think I will ever have a definitive grasp on what my personal style is, and that's okay. That's just my style πŸ˜‰

I haven't! So hard to answer that because I think it's completely personal and up to whatever you want? I need physical intimacy and personally, don't think I could open up if the variables weren't in that favor. Now, if Weston suddenly had to move, I truly have no idea how that will pan out and would be unfair of me to make some declaration on that - love is too finicky and moody for me. It's why I don't have tattoos haha

I'll be alone in Paris for three days this summer. Any advice on some places to people watch, meander, sketch, and take photos? Keep creating and keep being dreamy. Much love from NYC <3

Paris is a lovely city to be alone in. There's strangely no pressure or looks for being at a cafe alone. Go to any outdoor boulangeries that you'll find on any given corner, order your fave day drink, and do exactly what you envision. Enjoy and live in the moment! x

Hi gal!! At a stage in my life where I'm unsure if I should create a blog because 1. is it going to be worth it????????? 2. are people going to read it? 3. what can I put on the table that isn't already there? Really into fashion and would love to incorporate my belief in looking good w/o necessarily sacrificing too much $$$ + looking at putting myself out there as a Filipina lady who's moved to Australia at the age of 8. Would love to see more of what speaks to my identity on social media! But I figured, why wait if I can just do it myself and inspire those who struggle to relate to others because their identity is rarely exposed

HI CAMRY ~ 1. Why wouldn't your *unique* perspective be worth sharing?? or even better, worth documenting for yourself? 2. who the fuck cares, if they do, that's awesome! don't hold yourself to that expectation. creation should be for the creator and the creator only. the audience is a pleasant byproduct. 3. IDK, what is something you haven't seen that you want to see? it sounds like you have a unique story to tell and a way you seem you want to share it. So go for it! There's nothing that's majorly investing about starting a blog, which is why they're so awesome to make πŸ™‚ GOOD LUCK! We'll be looking out x

How often are you together now whilst living together? I am always fascinated by relationship dynamics! Thanks πŸ™‚

I know it sounds counter intuitive, but being independent in a relationship, I think, is key. Wes and I really look to each other as partners in life and are each other's best friends! Before living together, we still spent at least 2-3 nights together, but now we're together, we hang out a lot more and do things together a lot more, which is really really nice. But we're still trying to find a balance because we're almost too close haha.

Hi Rachel, Love your eye for the creative. Anyway, I wanted to ask how you take care of your hair after a workout. I've recently picked up running again and my biggest question is how I can take care of my hair. Naturally, my hair gets a little sweaty after a run, but I don't feel comfortable having to wash it with shampoo everyday because I know that it'll dry my hair out. However, I also don't want to keep my hair sweaty because I know that it's just as bad as over-shampooing. Is there a happy medium that you would recommend? Or, is it acceptable to shampoo and condition my hair everyday due to the sweat? Thank you and much love, Shivani

I've read once that BO doesn't happen because of sweat, but because our armpits are dark and that's how we smell. I know it's gross, but I air out my head and go about my day after without shampooing for the same reasons you're concerned about. I don't find my hair getting oily after, just wet, so that's how I deal with it. And the day I can't stand how oily my hair is, I wear it in a tight pony all day as an attempt to further train my hair to not produce as much oil. I hope that helps? x

Hi Shay! I'm so sorry you are going through this. Infidelity is hard, and every case and relationship is different to gauge how things should move forward. But regardless, should you guys decide to work on this, it is his humble responsibility to give you the tools that you can trust him again and feel secure in your relationship. It's also very important to remember that your value as an individual isn't determined by someone else's actions. You are your own unique woman and so special beyond comparison that is not dependent on qualities any girl has or lack. As difficult as it is, you will only start healing when you can make a concentrated effort to focus on yourself rather than others. I hope that helps and best of your healing journey x

how fun! girl you gotta pack on lots of face masks, and don't be afraid to use more than one during that long ass flight. i'd also carry a ziplock with soaked cotton pads of your favorite toner to keep balancing your skin's PH then slapping on some oil or a face mask to keep your skin hydrated. also, drink a LOT a lot of water and avoid the teas and coffee x

oh yeah, my question! how do you find the happy medium between capturing a moment through a camera and enjoying the moment for what it is, without being behind a lens?
Admin Reply by: Rachel
omg 😭😭😭😭😭 I forgot that I had written that for you and this beautiful note serves more than a thank you. i am so touched by your message. thank you for writing to me. There's really no medium for me, I genuinely enjoy taking photos and sometimes it's the experience of the connection I'm having with the subject and my action of capturing how I feel that makes photography so fun. But also, resist the urge to review photos right after you take it. Capture, put your device down, and continue on with your life. Alsoooo I never look back and wish I took less photos ❀️❀️

Love that you're thinking about this at such a young age! My first reason is that it's never as well made as designer pieces and that if I had $100 to spend on clothes a season, I would rather put that money towards something that will hold its value to resell and also withstand the test of wear. But yeah, you vote with your dollars and it's hard to support fast fashion brands that are usually trend driven and go out of style. Always nice to explain where you come from without making people feel like they're being shamed for their choices. No one is a perfect consumer and you happen to wear lots of second-hand as well πŸ™‚

I don't really have favorite brands, I buy a lot of vintage or from the gold wholesale market. But I do love Young Frankk - my favorite gold hoops! And, the hair was a great time in my life, but I don't really miss it. It ended up being too hard to maintain and more people seem to be rocking that hair now which naturally turns me off from it.

That's so inspiring to hear. Your content looks beautiful - I can't wait to watch the video. My first job was at Paige as a menswear designer and I got it through my friend who was the creative director for the men's department. We met through my blog actually, so putting your work out in the world can definitely open you up to different opportunities! But I was there, then I moved to ShoeDazzle as a content producer (also got this position because they were a fan of my blog), then I started the YT channel and left to do it full time πŸ™‚ That was about 3 years all together!

Love your ambition!! To answer your question, I think I find solace in knowing I'm doing the best I can with what I have. Even 'thriving' creatives you see online have so many goals they're constantly chasing and it's a matter of finding solutions to battle these ideas into execution. The best advice for someone who is finding their tracking again is to be okay with being lost and let that transport you to where you need to me. I fully believe that manifestation and the universe guides you to where you want to be in life if you are putting in the energy and work to see your goals ✨⚑✨

Hi Rachel, I have moved to a new city for two years, I have been struggling with making new friends . How did you make so many friends after you moved to LA? Love Nanxi

Hi Nanxi ~ I met my core group of friends at work and I think we were just at a point where we were all starting out so we really bonded. I've also had lots of connections and acquaintances that turned into friendships from the internetz. IG is a great way to meet like-minded people imo! x 🌹
