Hi Raych, have loved you and your content for many years now! There is no one that I've come across more rambunctious, fresh-faced and intelligent. Love ya!
Oh and thoughts... would Raych ever wear the nude Yeezy Season 2 Low Knit Boots. xx
Admin Reply by: Rachel
Thanks Shaz!!! Hahaha, new adjectives I have yet to hear about myself but am thankful you see me that way. As for the shoes, Raych isn't mad at them, but probably wouldn't wear them ๐Ÿ‘ฏ

Been in a real slump the last few months; your videos inspired me to get out of bed everyday and keep on keeping on. Now I'm inspired to get up and get productive and I credit you 90% for that. Thank you for doing what you do, your attitude toward life is so positive and REAL! This isn't a question, but i just think it is important you realise your powerful impact! xx love always

What! You are amazing Edwina - thank you for writing this. Reciprocal love and energy ๐Ÿ”ฎ

What are your thoughts on so many "influencers" creating their own clothing lines/merchandise nowadays? I understand that you don't support fast fashion, yet it seems hard to escape when some of your associates may be in the Youtube realm.
Admin Reply by: Rachel
I feel as though a lot of influencers don't have much sensitivity to conscious efforts and footprint, so... it's not my battle haha. But yeah, you're right, it's really hard to get away from it.

I think it's really important to be okay knowing you won't be a perfect conscious consumer, but you can be a smart one. Often times we feel like if we're going to label our choices, we have to follow-through perfectly, and I don't see that as fair. We can make incremental decisions that turn into habits rather than giving up on an idea that seems too hard to manage.

Hi Rachel! Love your videos and style, you are a super big inspiration to me and I really like how you style yourself and your life with originality and always having a little touch that is uniquley you. Seeing this has helped me develope my own style and branch out while still being me. Anyways I was just wondering how you keep motivation to stay active and eat healthy? And was wondering if you have any simple healthy go-to recipes to share xx
Admin Reply by: Rachel
Aw, such kind word Morgan. So happy to wear this as well, makes me feel really fulfilled โ˜บ๏ธ

Healthy living is totally a habit. Once you start and feel the benefits of what your body and mind can feel like, is like a feeling you want to chase. I also no longer crave the bad stuff as much as I used to ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ†๐Ÿฅ‘๐Ÿฅ’๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐ŸŒฝ๐Ÿฅ•๐Ÿฅ”๐Ÿ

Hi Raych. Just wanna let you know I'm a big fan of yours and really support u no matter what. I am wondering if you can help me decide or not to do hair extensions. I am so scared of the downsides of doing it but I also want to look good cuz I am just crazy on one night and cut my hair short and now I look completely bad.

hi rachel! i think you mentioned in your youtube videos that you were having some issues with hair loss at some point. do you have any recommendations for a shampoo/conditioner system that you liked? i have a very similar hair texture to yours, i think, (thick, wavy to curly, asian) and have been noticing breakage ever since i did a balayage to it about a year ago. i have been using briogeo to help with keeping my scalp healthy, but am having trouble finding a shampoo/conditioner system that i trust. would love any recos you might have!
Admin Reply by: Rachel
Honestly, I think it was using dry shampoo everyday that did it in for me. Unfortunately no secret trick I did. I am taking supplements from Nutrafol which is great and I love Carol's Daughter for haircare! ๐Ÿ’‡๐Ÿป

hi rachel, since you are a creative and influencer that supported h&m studio, i'm wondering what your thoughts are on the latest h&m lawsuit with revok and the compromises that the company makes regarding artist rights?
Admin Reply by: Rachel
It's unfortunate that these things keep happening. But also knowing that these teams are huge and ginormous - I have a great relationship with the PR team in NY... that's like 5 people out of probably 100+ in just PR. I always leave room for error with these companies because sometimes it is the mistake of just one person. Not an excuse, but I've made mistakes too in huge corporate settings, and it's hard to finesse each decision. I do know they are constantly hiring extra talent to oversee mistakes and hopefully prevent more like these.

Hey Racheal! I've started blogging, and by started I mean just taking pictures, and I wanted to know the best way to create my website. I've tried Wix and Squarespace, but they haven't given me my creative push I need. I need total freedom like you have on your blog site. Should I just hire a Website Developer, or become one lol, or do you know any site that'll give me my creative freedom, if that makes sense. Thanks! xoxox
Admin Reply by: Rachel
I've seen some pretty rad things on Wix. What I did with my site was make a wireframe of how I wanted the site to feel and navigate (without any design implemented, purely a blueprint) and worked around that. I worked with a developer because I didn't have the time to figure it all out on my own, but I used to code my own sites! It really helps to design it out first and then put it together and knowing what freedom you need and where. I hope that helps? x

Hi Rachel! Gonna ask you for some relationship advice. How do you work out your insecurities? For example jealousy, self-worth, and comparing yourself to others (eg your boyfriends past girlfriends, him checking out other girls, etc.). Not only are you a massive fashion inspiration, but def a highlighting shining star and role model to look up to for lifestyle and pure radiant positive energy, which is why I wonder and want to know how you go about working out insecurities โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’•โœจ
Admin Reply by: Rachel
Hi sweetie, aw you're so sweet. Thank you and thanks for asking this question that I think it's a difficult road to navigate on our own. The best thing for security in a relationship is actually the person you're in a relationship giving it to you. You should be confident and your own person beforehand, but if your partner isn't making you feel secure and open, of course it'll leave room to second guess yourself. Often in relationships, my best advice is to be 100% open with the person and leave no rooms for secrets. If you are open, it usually fosters room and the expectancy for the other to be open as well.

I hope that helps ๐ŸŒ

Hi Rachel. Can you do a post/video about the business side of That's Chic? I'm a freelancer as well and I'm always curious to know how other creatives hustle to pay the bills. What's your daily workflow? How do you make sure the work keeps coming? ๐Ÿ™‚
Admin Reply by: Rachel
Yes I can try. I've been collecting questions to make something about it. Daily workflow is always up in the air, I just tackle an on going to-do list that always varies but I find myself always on emails. The worst! I'm always in a feast or famine, but I will always reach out for opportunities to work with brands if I have ideas... that's what kinda keeps me going ๐Ÿ”†๐Ÿ”†๐Ÿ”†

Kayley wrote on March 11, 2018 at 6:46 am:
How did you get into art directing, and what advice would you give to someone also trying to get into it as a freelancer?
Admin Reply by: Rachel
Hi Kayley! I might have answered this already when I saw you, but I'll answer again so others can see! I got into it I think because I wear so many hats doing what I do: photography, PR, marketing, content creation, modeling, styling, strategize. AD is mostly managing people to execute a vision you have, and should you know all the puzzle pieces and how they work, it's easier to create a well-oiled machine from it. If you're freelancing, learn, learn, learn! Learn from everyone, every project, and ask lots of questions.

Do you think itโ€™s necessary to go to school for fashion now, when you can seriously learn so much on your own without having a college degree.
Admin Reply by: Rachel
Honestly, no - unless it's a skill you're looking to learn. Like you said, there's so much you can learn without a college degree, that how does one know what they REALLY like and want to expand on until they see what's out there. School can be so confined to a structure that doesn't allow much opportunity to explore a current state of the world. IMHO ๐Ÿ˜…
